Visiting Le Blanc Spa Resort during COVID-19
Content last updated: February 12, 2022
My husband and I just returned from Le Blanc in Cancun Mexico, the home of the Luxe Couples Retreat. Let me just begin by saying…WOW! The resort has never looked more beautiful and it was our best trip yet in preparing for each of you, our VIP guests of Luxe Couples Retreat. I know some people are a bit concerned to be traveling during COVID-19. Truthfully, we felt safer at Le Blanc Spa Resort compared to any other place we’ve visited in the U.S. There are countless ways that the Le Blanc team makes your health and safety priority. Here are just a few…

Purely Palace: Safety & Health Measures
Palace Resorts has always committed to providing the best and safest experience at their luxury resorts. The new program, Purely Palace, goes beyond the strict quality controls already in place, by adding more than 140 extra preventive actions to ensure your stay will be safe as well as amazing during your all-inclusive vacation in the Caribbean.

Arrival Process
When you arrive at the resort, you are greeted in true Le Blanc luxe fashion, with a welcome drink, cool towel, and amazing smiles (well, you see the smiling eyes of staff members…their mouths are all covered by masks). Then you are whisked to the check in area, your temperature is taken, and you answer some basic COVID-19 screening questions. Hand sanitizer is offered, and is readily available throughout the resort.
Capacity Limits for Restaurants & Facilities
During the pandemic, you must make reservations in all restaurants, to ensure proper social distancing can be maintained. In addition, you can make reservations to visit the gym or hydrotherapy spa facilities – these areas have capacity limits as well to ensure that everyone stays safe and feels comfortable.
Before entering the spa facilities, your temperature is taken as an additional precaution.
Masks for all Staff Members
If you watched the video above, you already know this…but it’s worth mentioning again. The staff members at Le Blanc have their clothing and shoes sanitized upon entering the resort. In addition, they consistently wear masks – and they change out their masks at least twice a day.
As of March 22, 2021, guests are required to wear a mask inside the resort. Specifically, in hallways and elevators, upon arrival at the restaurants, and when you leave your table to visit the breakfast or lunch buffet, you wear a mask. Places you don’t have to wear a mask: at your table eating and drinking, at the bar, in hydrotherapy or spa facilities (when receiving your treatments), in the gym, and all outdoor areas.

COVID-19 Test Provisions to Re-Enter the U.S.
As of February 12, 2022, everyone is still required to have a negative COVID-19 test before re-entering the United States. Tests must be taken 24 hours prior to arrival in the U.S.A. Palace Resorts now provides FREE COVID tests for guests (anyone staying more than 5 days), to ensure we have everything we need to get back home safely…how awesome is that?! You can read more about their COVID-19 testing and other policies here (this also covers if you’re traveling from Canada or other countries).
You can set up your COVID-19 test directly with the concierge. Le Blanc has a room set up on the third floor in a ballroom, and the test (in our experience) was a quick and painless process. We received our results via email within a few hours. TIP: ask the concierge to print a copy of your results, so that you’ll have a hard copy if your airline requests it.
In Summary
In short, we felt extremely safe and cared for with all the measures put into place to ensure the health of all the guests and staff. We are already planning our next visit to go back!
